What tow vehicle do I need for a Lost Trak 16 Family?
With a 3,000kg ATM and around 165kg of ball weight, the Lost Trak 16 Family needs a 4WD rated to tow 3,000kg or more — think 200/300 Series LandCruiser, Ranger, Everest, Patrol or similar.
One thing worth checking carefully as a family: your GCM has to cover the loaded caravan and a loaded tow vehicle carrying passengers, kids’ gear and bikes. That combination catches people out more often than the towing capacity does. Always confirm your specific vehicle’s braked towing capacity, ball load limit, GVM and GCM before ordering — our team is happy to talk through your exact setup.
How many people does it sleep?
Four as standard — a queen innerspring bed for the parents plus permanent twin bunks for the kids. A triple-bunk configuration is available at order, taking it to five.
The bunks are permanent, so they stay made up. There is no nightly conversion, no lounge to fold away, and no arguing about who sleeps where.
How long does a build take?
Please contact our sales team for current lead and build times on the Lost Trak 16 Family. Every one is hand-built to order at our Sunshine Coast workshop, and your specialist keeps you updated throughout the build.
What warranty comes with a Lost Trak 16 Family?
Every Lost Trak 16 Family is covered by our 5-year structural warranty, with appliances covered by their manufacturers’ warranties. Rhinomax facilitates warranty claims with third-party suppliers on your behalf, so after handover you keep dealing directly with the team that built your caravan — no call centres, no service tickets.
Is finance available?
Rhinomax doesn’t offer finance options in house, however we can recommend a number of reputable finance companies if needed.
I’m interstate — can I still buy one?
Absolutely — plenty of owners spec and order remotely. You’ll work with a dedicated specialist over phone and video for every decision, and you can view the Lost Trak 16 Family at our Sunshine Coast HQ or through our NSW dealer, Off Grid Outfitters, in Smeaton Grange and Newcastle.
