myCOOLMAN Fridge / Freezer Quick Guide
Simple Rhinomax-specific instructions to operate and troubleshoot your myCOOLMAN CCP series fridge·freezer (single & dual zone). For full technical information, download the PDF manual below.
⚙️ Basic Operation (Single & Dual Zone)
Use this for myCOOLMAN CCP 30–105 single-zone and CCP 69 / 85 / 96 dual-zone models.
1. Powering the Fridge ON / OFF
Plug into 12/24 V DC or 100–240 V AC (ensure power is on at the source). Press the power button once to turn the fridge ON. To turn it OFF, press and hold the power button for 3 seconds.
2. Setting the Temperature (Single Zone)
Press the SET button once, then use the ▲ and ▼ buttons to choose your temperature (–22 °C to +10 °C). Once set, don’t press anything – the display will flash about 5 times to confirm it is locked in.
3. Setting the Temperature (Dual Zone)
Press the SET button once to adjust the stepped (left) compartment. Use ▲ / ▼ to choose the temperature, then press SET again to move to the deep (right) compartment and repeat. The display will flash 5 times when each zone’s temperature is stored.
4. Turbo Cooling & Battery Protection
Press the Turbo button to quickly pull the fridge down to temperature (indicator light on). Press again to return to normal mode. To protect your vehicle battery, use the menu to set HI / MED / LO battery protection according to your 12 V setup.
🔧 Troubleshooting & Status Codes
If something doesn’t feel right, run through these quick checks before calling support.
Common Problems & Fixes
- Fridge won’t turn on:
- Check that the unit is actually switched ON at the panel.
- Try a different power source (vehicle socket vs 240 V outlet).
- Check that all plugs are firmly seated and the fuse has not blown.
- Poor cooling performance:
- Too much warm product loaded at once or no air gaps between items.
- Lid not fully latched or lid seal damaged/dirty.
- Poor ventilation – allow at least 100 mm around all vents.
- Ambient temperature extremely high or unit is in direct sun.
- Set temperature too high for what you’re expecting.
- Gurgling or liquid sounds:
- Normal – this is just refrigerant moving through the system.
- Unusual vibration / noise:
- Check that the fridge is on a reasonably level, stable surface (works up to ~30°).
Battery Protection & Low Voltage (E1)
If the fridge shows E1 and stops, the input voltage has dropped below the selected battery protection level and the compressor has shut down to protect your battery.
- Check vehicle or camper battery voltage with a meter or monitor.
- Try another power source (e.g. 240 V via the transformer) to confirm it’s a supply issue.
- Ensure DC cables are appropriately sized and not excessively long (voltage drop).
- If you regularly run a deep-cycle battery, consider using MED or LO protection depending on your setup.
Status & Error Codes (E0–E5)
The status light will flash orange and the display will show a code when there is a fault:
- E0 – Temperature sensor fault: Contact myCOOLMAN / Leisure-Tec service.
- E1 – Low voltage: Battery protection has been triggered – see section above.
- E2 – Fan fault: Fan drawing too many amps or failed – requires service/replacement.
- E3 – Compressor start issue: Unplug for 10 mins, then try a different power source. If persistent, there may be an electronics or compressor fault.
- E4 – Low motor speed: Reduce load in the fridge, improve ventilation, and check fan.
- E5 – Over temperature: Ambient temperature very high or vents blocked – move to a cooler spot and ensure clear airflow around vents.
🛠️ Preventative Maintenance Tips
A few simple habits will dramatically improve performance and lifespan of your myCOOLMAN fridge·freezer.
Keep It Cool & Ventilated
Best performance is in ambient temperatures between about +10 °C and +32 °C. Keep the unit out of direct sun and allow at least 100 mm clearance around vents for airflow.
Clean & Defrost Gently
Wipe the interior with a damp cloth and a little bicarbonate of soda. Never use abrasives or sharp tools to remove frost – switch OFF, let it melt, then drain and wipe dry. Store with the lid slightly open when not in use.
Protect Your Battery & Cabling
Use correctly sized cables and fuses (typically 10 A at 12 V / 5 A at 24 V). Enable battery protection when running from a vehicle socket and disconnect or switch to AC if you’re parked for long periods.
