Because it means we have the strongest chassis in the game!
Chassis’ are often considered one of the most vital parts of any camper, but it’s often a component that is brushed over or not taken seriously. Out of sight out of mind is usually the mindset that leads to this important component being over looked.
The chassis provides several vital functions. It performs as the foundation for the entire caravan construction and supplies both the tow hitch connection point and suspension mounting points.
Any painted coating can be chipped off and although it might not always be a problem in the short term, the look is subpar and will require constant maintenance. If you are planning on doing long trips on dirt roads, your Camper will get pummelled by rocks and stones, the drawbar and chassis will look like they’ve been sandblasted.
Another benefit of this technique is that it keeps the centre of gravity and weight of our campers down low which provides a superior towing experience.
